This piece examines the visual interplay between positive and negative thresholds of the visual plane, translated from point of capture to site of display through specific filters selected by the artist. ‘Between’ is a literal depiction of its figurative action, which actively refutes conventional cinematic narrative to remain unresolved and gestural, only alluding to its content semantically.

The obscure imagery and equally abstract sound appear to be derived from the same action, and, though they may be diegetic in origin, they retain an ambiguity that coerces each viewer into forming a significant collaboration between themselves and the artist to address these elements. Within this exchange of values, a unique encounter occurs, one bound up in the impromptu interpretations of each viewer, who in turn provides their own meaning to the work as they navigate it.
